ATC SURVEILLANCE/COMMUNICATION ANALYSIS AND PLANNING
ATC Surveillance/Communication Analysis and Planning activities during the period 1 June 1973 to 31 August 1973 are reported. Work continued under Task B, ASR Improvement Program. Demonstration equipment to study the effectiveness of applying digital signal processing techniques to an existing ASR radar was placed in operation using an FPS-18 radar and the Lincoln Laboratory Fast Digital Processor. Early results are reported. Two new tasks were started on 1 Jul 1973. Task D provides support to the NAFEC ATCRBS Improvement Program, and Task E initiated the development of a Precision Altitude and Landing Monitor. (Author)
