Surface transportation data has been collected and made available by the U.S. Department of Transportation at the Research Data Exchange (RDE). High quality, large datasets are hosted and researchers can readily access them at no charge. The data management system includes organized data collections, captures and stores data on a regular basis, and shares data in support of applications. RDE contains data environments on topics such as connected vehicle applications, safety pilot model deployment, dynamic mobility applications, and vehicle infrastructure initiative.
