Safety Enhancement Service for Vulnerable Users Using P2V Communications
Vehicular communications can be used for enhancing the safety level of drivers and pedestrians by exchanging safety/warning messages for both sides. In this paper, the authors propose pedestrian-to-vehicular (P2V) communication systems which provide safety service especially for vulnerable users. The authors focus on the proposed system at the unsigned single road and intersection area. Then, requirements for the overall system are considered to support reliable safety services. In addition, some practical implementation issues are also discussed based on the proposed system architecture.
