A Station Area Typology of Economic Opportunity: A Guide to Better Connecting Transit, Jobs and Workforce Development in the Denver Region
This report focuses on the impact on economic and workforce development of locating businesses near public transit. The benefits of transit-oriented location on employers, employees, local government and transit agencies are discussed. Case studies from the Denver area are included along with a typology tool to be used in evaluating station areas and prioritizing resources. Barriers to choosing transit-oriented locations and strategies for overcoming these barriers are also included.
