TRIALS FOR IMPROVING AIRPORT PAVEMENT OPTIMAL REHABILITATION TIMING SYSTEM

空港舗装補修最適化システムの高度化へ向けて

The solutions against the problems found as a result of applying Airport Pavement Optimal Rehabilitation Timing System (AirPORTS) to the asphalt pavements of some airports being studied, advanced version of AirPORTS has been being developed. The points taken into consideration this time were the following three. As the items for pavement performance evaluation, cracking, rutting and roughness are included in addition to PRI, and the fatigue damages of both asphalt mixtures and subgrade are also included. For quantifying the change of pavement performance, various kinds of curve models other than a straight line model are introduced. Furthermore, prolongation of the planning period and types and number of operations of aircraft are arbitrarily selected. 空港舗装補修最適化システムAirPORTSをいくつかの空港のアスファルト舗装へ適用を試みた.その結果,明らかになった課題に対する解決策についての研究開発を行って,システムの高度化を図るべく新システムの構築を行っている.今回改良を加えた点は次の3点である.舗装性能の評価項目としてPRIに加えて,ひび割れ,わだち掘れ,平坦性といった表面性状のほか,アスファルト混合物層と路床の疲労度も取り込んだ.また,舗装の性能変化の定量化として直線モデルのほか種々の曲線モデルを設定可能とした.さらに,将来交通量・航空機の変化への対応として,検討対象期間の長期化とその間の航空機種と便数を任意に設定可能とした.
