CAVITATION SUPPRESSION BY POLYMER INJECTION
In the present study the effect of polymer injection on cavitation has been established. The data points are tailed when dotted cavitation occurred. For the teflon nosed body cavitation always appeared or disappeared in one or more discrete points located on the hemisphere between the pressure minimum and the transition of hemisphere and cylinder. The character and location of developed cavitation did not change when polymer injection started. The results of the desinent cavitation measurements for teflon are shown. The results for incipient cavitation are almost similar to those for desinent cavitation.
