COMPOSITION BRAKE BLOCKS
The research question is a determination of the limits of brake heeating applied to wheelsets with shrunk on tires. The limits were determined by measuring the time of constant braking before the tire loosened on the wheel. As a result, the shrinkage allowance for shrunk on wheels should be placed at a high value and brake blocks used with such wheels should be selected for good thermal conductivity.
