Mixed fortunes for Australian light rail
In spite of the fact that light rail has benefited from investment in cities across Australia in recent years, many projects have yet to secure the funding they need, even as they are widely considered essential to relieving traffic congestion. This article sheds light on the current situation, as most Australian cities, with the exception of Sydney and Melbourne, appear unsure as to how to proceed with new projects.
