MEASURING INSTRUMENT OF TROLLEY WIRE RESIDUAL DIAMETER BY USE OF I. T. V. (REPORT 2)
Continuous and automatic measurement of trolley wire residual diameter from a running inspection car has been urgently required. The first instrument, which was developed in 1968, proved to have measuring accuracy of 0.8 mm at running speed of 210 km/h. the improved instrument with flexible lens system which makes use of glass fiber scope was developed to attain measuring accuracy of 0.1 mm.
