ACCESS TO MAPLIN: FURTHER REFLECTIONS
Whatever the arguments for or against the siting of London's third airport, current plans for access have proved equally controversial. Recently The Daily Telegraph Magazine published outline proposals for a very different approach to the problem. These ideas are expanded in the article below. The author is Fellow and Tutor in Classics at Jesus College, Oxford, and is President of the Oxford University Railway Society.
