NEW TUNNEL SERVES TRAIN AT WELLAND
The Welland Canal Relocation Project is a five-year effort on the part of the Saint Lawrence Seaway Authority to break a bottleneck at the city of Welland, Canada, which has been delaying ships passing between lakes Erie and Ontario, and greatly restricted commercial, industrial and public vehicular traffic through Welland. The project was designed by computer simulation. Key structure in the project is the three-track rail tunnel.
