BOMBAY PREPARES FOR COMMUTER GROWTH
To handle increases in commuter traffic resulting from population growth as well as alleviating chronic overcrowding on existing lines, the Bombay Metropolitan Transport project provides north-south rapid transit routes closely interwoven with the present suburban lines.
