MOTIVE POWER FOR SPECIAL AGGREGATE MOVES

There are three major areas where locomotives and trains can be utilized in aggregate and mineral services. These areas are, basically: gathering or mining services (loading); line haul work; and dumping operations. Locomotives utilized in these three operations are compared.
