INFLUENCE OF CALCIUM HYDROXIDE POWDER ON THE CEMENT CONTAINING BLAST-FURNACE SLAG

高炉スラグを含有したセメントに及ぼす水酸化カルシウム微粉末の影響

Reduction of CO₂ emission is important problem in cement industry. As one of measures to reduce CO₂ emission, replacing a part of Portland cement by blast-furnace slag is useful. However, it is necessary to improve a characteristic of blast-furnace cement, in order to use it effectively as general purpose cement. This paper describes physical and hydration property of cement containing blast-furnace slag added calcium hydroxide powder (CHP), considered that CHP accelerates the early hydration (setting time) of Portland cement part of blast-furnace cement and accelerates reaction of slag part of that as alkali stimulant. As a result, setting time of cement paste was accelerated by addition of CHP even in the series of cement containing slag. About compressive strength of mortar, in case of the low replacement ratio of slag (10, 20%), early strength was improved by addition of CHP. On the other hand, in case of the high replacement ratio of slag (45%), long-term strength was improved by addition of CHP. The reaction ratio of slag was quantified by selective dissolution method; i.e., Salicylic acid-acetone-methanol solution. Reaction of slag, in case of 45% replacement ratio of slag, showed tendency to be accelerated by addition of CHP in long-term age, and it was suggested that it related to the strength development.高炉スラグ含有セメントの凝結、初期強度等の物性改善を目的に、ポルトランドセメントに対して凝結、初期水和促進効果を、高炉スラグに対してアルカリ刺激剤として反応促進効果を発揮することが考えられる水酸化カルシウム微粉末を添加し、物性、水和性状の評価を行った。その結果、水酸化カルシウム微粉末の添加により凝結、初期水和は促進され、強度発現性は水酸化カルシウム微粉末の添加により、高炉セメントA種相当において材齢初期に、高炉セメントB種相当において長期に改善する傾向がみられた。また、高炉セメントB種相当における高炉スラグの反応は水酸化カルシウム微粉末の添加による影響を受け、強度発現性との関連が示唆された。
