MODULAR CONTROLS FOR 1972 EMD UNITS

How reliability and maintainability were improved in the locomotive field, with Electro-Motive Div. of General Motors modular electrical control systems in its 1972 models. Seventeen different control circuits were designed in module form for easy plug-in in an all-new high-voltage electrical cabinet for the yet-to-be-bult units.
