CARGO HANDLING: A NEW BREED APPEARS IN OCEAN TERMINALS

A discussion is presented concerning recent developments which have come about in the area of cargo handling. The article covers shoreside container gantrys, transportation of automobiles, fork lift trucks, roll-on/roll-off cargoes, and bulkcargo handling. Developments achieved in each of these areas is given, with time savings applied to some of the methods.
