The Transbay Transit Center: Change This Big Never Comes Easy
Although construction is underway, the Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco has experienced a few setbacks and delays. This does not come as a surprise, as its grandiose scope includes collaboration between nine current local and regional transit operators with California's high-speed rail intercity service between San Francisco and Los Angeles. In addition, the Transit Center has a five-acre park on its roof and is adjacent to an 82-story office tower, just to complicate matters. This article takes a look at the progress of the project, to date, as well as challenges that lie ahead.
