Reviving international passenger rail in Europe
A coalition that was launched in Brussels in November 2014, known as Train2EU and backed by young rail professionals and environmental groups, has developed a youth-oriented manifesto aimed at the international passenger transportation market in Europe and growing rail's share in it. This article takes a look at the idealistic manifesto in detail, its hopes and its intended actions as they affect train operating companies, infrastructure managers, governments, the supply industry, environmental organizations, and consumer bodies.
