There is an increasing desire for automated transmissions in developing regions. The article discusses how single-speed transmissions have been the norm for electric vehicles to date. Suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are working on a variety of more advanced and complex multi-speed developments in response to market trends and the increasing pressure to enhance energy efficiency. There is a growing demand for a comfortable driving experience that is resulting in more customers searching for automated transmissions in electric vehicles.
