UTILIZING NEW TECHNOLOGY TO IMPROVE THE DELIVERY OF QUALITY PERISHABLES
Utilizing new technology to improve the delivery of quality perishables is significant as it is a part of the larger problem of getting new technology utilized. The need today is to get research results out of the files and reports and utilized in solving problems. To do this the Administration is offering incentives (direct payments and tax considerations) to firms and industries for getting technology applied to solve problems at home and to improve the nation's position in world markets. The 1972 U.S. Research and Development Budget is estimated to be $16.6 billion.
