MULTI-COMMODITIES TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULES OVER TIME
Multi-commodity transportation problems over time are formulated by a system of differential equations and optimal transport flows determined by the application of a maximum principle with time delays. The following management applications are considered: a minimum time transport problem is solved by means of a linear program based on the necessary conditions for optimal transport flows; a linear cost inventory and transportation problem is formulated and a solution by parametric programming indicated; and a simple quadratic cost, unconstrained transportation problem is solved analytically.
