MULTIPLE USE OF CITY TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR
Tracks entering towns should not be separated from the carriage of urban traffic, but should be integrated with it. This result can be attained by building them at different levels, providing for public transport, private transport, car parks, commercial residential areas, reserved for leisure, and offices. The author illustrates this concept, and the complex architecture involved, by means of examples relating to New York, Milwaukee, Seattle, Toronto, Edinburgh, Tokyo.
