Safety Performance Functions
This project developed safety performance functions for roadway segments and intersections for two-lane rural highways in Pennsylvania. The statistical modeling methodology was consistent with that used in the first edition of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ Highway Safety Manual. Two realistic case study examples are provided to illustrate how to use the safety performance functions developed in this project.
