FOT of Innovative ASV in Hiroshima - V2V by Communication between Tramcars and Cars

This paper introduces the contents of field operation tests (FOT) of an innovative advanced safety vehicle (ASV) services scheduled to be demonstrated by the Hiroshima intelligent transportation systems (ITS) promotion council. The proposing services are realized by vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications between private cars and public transport vehicles, using dedicated on-board units on both vehicles and which premises the usage of ITS-dedicated radio frequency band. The images of developing services for the ITSWC2013 post congress tour between a tramcar and a private car have been described.
