An Examination of Vehicle-to-Pedestrian Communication Access Method
The standard of 700 MHz band Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), which is called ARIB STD-T109, was published in Japan. In this paper, three kinds of Vehicle-to-Pedestrian (V2P) communication access methods, which are able to coexist with both Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication, are evaluated. The possibility of coexistence was confirmed by static simulation using large city model including multiple intersections, dynamic simulation based on metropolitan transportation census data, and real field tests using developed prototype devices.
