Applicability of Probe Data for Identifying Individual Vehicles in the Public and Private Sectors
In Japan, the acquisition of probe data using ITS Spots began in 2011. This paper reports on the applicability of “Identified Probe Data.” which can be used to identify individual vehicles for road administration, including congestion prevention and traffic accident prevention, and to provide private services, such as logistics support.
