RECENT SPEEDS OF 230 KM/H IN WESTERN EUROPE
The two train sets designed for 200 km/h peak-speed services made 'mince meat' of this maximum, by running at about 230 km/h in the early summer. The trains in question were the BR HST diesel train and the RTG.O1, a specially-geared but otherwise as standard turbotrain set.
