Ensuring transport systems accessibility for persons with disabilities in the Russian Federation
In the report there is a statistics on a number of mobility-impaired people in Russia by their groups and also methods and the results of sociological study concerning assessment of transport system accessibility in the Russian Federation for these people. The main transport problems for this category of people are defined. Based on the results of this study in the report there is presented the logic scheme of the model utilizing consideration of "logistic chains". The model is used for defining and description of "barriers" for mobility-impaired people and for forming of proposals for creation of accessible transport links. There are also presented specification and description of measures aimed on improvement of national legislation in connection with ratification by Russia of UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities.
