BRT Space Speed Guidance Method within a VII Environment
This paper puts forward a bus rapid transit (BRT) space speed guidance model within a Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII) environment. First of all, a dwell time prediction model and travel time prediction model are demonstrated. Secondly, speed guidance models are introduced according to three different conditions. Finally, the models are simulated respectively, and compared with the unguided condition. The models proposed can significantly improve the efficiency of the BRT system and can be widely accepted by drivers.
