Toyota Drivers’ Experiences with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, the Pre-Collision System, and Lane-Keeping Assist
This study looks at driver acceptance of crash avoidance technologies. Owners of Toyota Sienna and Toyota Prius models with adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance, and lane departure warning systems (Prius only) were interviewed. The majority of the respondents reported safer driving habits with the systems and that they would want the same technology on their next vehicle. The study also outlines interview response differences by driver age, gender, and duration of ownership.
