BOGIE DESIGN FOR AUSTRALIAN CONDITIONS

Attempt to set down principles of evaluation when considering new designs or improving existing designs of car and locomotive trucks, axles and wheels. The ride index system, modes of the vertical ride, and the lateral ride are discussed together with the use of rubber components in the truck design.
