LOOK WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THE WOOD TIE
Results of the experiments conducted on the Louisville & Nashville to test dowel-laminated and glu-laminated, and capped and reinforced ties are compared with the developments at Forest Products Laboratory. A "particle board" tie, was also tested, and efforts to recycle old ties are discussed.
