Study on the Bearing Capacity of Concrete-Cored DCM Pile Composite Foundation
A new kind of pile - named concrete-cored deep cement mixing (DCM) pile - was developed in recent years. It is composed of precast core pile and DCM column socket. The mechanisms and calculation method of bearing capacity for concrete-cored DCM pile in composite foundation are not clear. In this paper, plate load tests on single pile (PLT-I) and plate load tests on single pile in composite foundation (PLT-II) are conducted in Nanjing-Changzhou (NC) Expressway and Nanjing Surrounding (NS) Expressway. Based on the results of PLT, stress tests and concrete prism test (CPT), the foundation improvement effect and bearing mechanisms of concrete-cored DCM pile were discussed. Finally, the calculation method for the bearing capacity of concrete-cored DCM pile composite foundation is proposed.
