DEVELOPMENTS IN FUEL OIL, ENGINE AND BLOWER LUBRICATION OIL FILTERS

The application of callendered wire gauze mesh filters to marine fuel oil and lube oil systems is surveyed. Typical filters for boiler and diesel fuel systems are described. Advantages of callendered woven wire are stated. Suitable applications and renewal procedures for disk type and pleated element cartridge type filters are compared. A large capacity fully automated two-stage self-cleaning Duplex filter is described.
