Climate Change 2014: Mitigation of climate change
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC's) 5th Assessment Report includes three Working Group reports focusing on climate change. This document is the contribution of Working Group III and focuses on mitigation policies. Hundreds of authors from around the world contributed to this report which was accepted but not approved in detail by the 39th Session of the IPCC on 12 April 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Topics include: sustainable development, uncertainty and risk management, trends in mitigating greenhouse gases, regional and international cooperation, spatial planning, design and implementation of policies, and investment and finance. Detailed assessments of the five sectors responsible for most emissions, energy supply systems, transportation, buildings, industry, and agriculture are also included.
