Able to reconnect
After torrential rains wiped out miles of roads and bridges in Colorado's Front Range in September 2013, county, city and state agencies joined with civil engineers and road contractors in a public-private-sector effort to reopen the roads before winter set in. Due to long hauls of up to three hours, low ambient temperatures at the end of the season, and high elevations, warm mix asphalt was used. Details of the reconstruction are presented here.
