Delay Model for U-Turn Movement at Median Openings on Multilane Highways
There is a need for delay models for median U-turns to estimate their level of service and compare them with alternative designs. This research aimed at developing an empirical delay model for nonintersection median U-turns on suburban divided multilane highways as a function of the U-turning and opposing traffic volumes.
