Multimodal Analysis of Freight Transport Activity and Infrastructure Impacts Related to Manitoba's Energy Sector (Poster)
The objectives of this project were: to characterize the nature of the energy industry in southwest Manitoba, including locations of major freight origins and destinations, and prospects for future growth; to inventory the freight transportation system that currently meets industry demands, including the infrastructure (highway, rail, and pipeline networks), vehicles (trucks, trains), and relevant regulations, and; to assess the impacts on and needs of regional infrastructure.
