RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN UNDERWATER WELDING
This article gives a brief description of underwater welding techniques and recent developments that have been achieved through a research and development project that is being performed in England. Two underwater welding processes are briefly described, with properties of the weld formed, advantages and disadvantages of each process, and requirements of underwater welding included in the description. A brief discussion of underwater continuous wire welding is given, with advantages and properties of the system.
