TANGENTIAL-FIRED COMBUSTION ENGINEERING BOILERS
This article describes the development of boiler designs able to withstand the higher system capacities brought about by the increase in the size of modern ships and the necessary increase in power required to propel them. It concentrates on the design of a tangential-fired boiler, giving its specifications and some advantages that result from a boiler of this design.
