SEWAGE OUTFALL ATTRACTS INTERNATIONAL ATTENTION
This article describes steps that are being taken by several nations to improve the quality of waste materials that are being discharged from sea-going ships all over the world. A number of alternatives are described, giving advantages and disadvantages of each alternative. A detailed description of a biological sewage treatment plant is given, with a discussion of each step in the treatment plant cycle.
