REQUIREMENTS TO BE MET BY POWER ELECTRONICS COMPONENTS FOR TRACTION SERVICE

ANFORDERUNGEN AN DIE BAUTEILE DER LEISTUNGSELEKTRONIK IM BAHNBETRIEB

Following an analysis of the requirements to be met by power electronics components for traction service, the authors outline the resultant criteria to be observed in the development of equipment units. This analysis offers a basis for the design of reliable equipment, taking account of economic maintenance and servicing and of rationalization in system design and manufacture. A modular power electronics system is described which meets these requirements.
