A COMPLEX ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR THE AUTOMATION OF THE CONSTRUCTION AND MANUFACTURE OF PROPELLER INSTALLATIONS

A detailed description was given of a complex electronic data processing system with the aid of which the parameters required for propeller construction and documentation can be established and punched tapes prepared for the numerically controlled manufacturing units on the basis of relatively few input data from the development project and/or the purchase order. Flow charts of the system were presented, and the partial systems for the computation of the main propeller characteristics and for the propeller hub/screw shaft/adjustable-pitch unit were described. All programs were written in the FORTRAN 63 language.
