Experimental Study on Seismic Performance of RC Shear Wall with High-Strength Rebars
Experimental studies on four shear wall specimens under low-cyclic reversed loading were carried out, in which high-strength rebar with the yield strength of 1000 MPa was used in longitudinal and transverse reinforcement in boundary embedded columns of reinforced concrete shear walls, and tested variables involved yield strength of longitudinal rebar, yield strength of hoops and volumetric ratio of hoops in embedded columns. The behavior mechanism of high-strength rebar in boundary embedded column of shear wall is studied. As well, the bending bearing capacity, ductility, energy dissipation capacity and the failure characteristics of high-rise shear wall with high-strength rebar were researched. The experimental results showed that, compared to RC shear wall with normal-strength steel, the strength of specimens with high-strength steel used as longitudinal reinforcement in boundary concealed columns was increased, and the yield and ultimate displacement were improved greatly.
