A Study on Rambling Activities of Visitor by Tram in Central Commercial District : Focusing on Behavioral Characteristics of Visitor and Spatial Composition in Hiroshima City

路面電車利用者の中心商業地区における回遊行動に関する研究 - 広島市における路面電車利用者の行動特性と中心商業地区の空間構成に着目して -

Recently, a number of local governments are considering maintenance of trams for the purpose of activation of downtown. In the case of such maintenance of trams, it is desirable to carry out by combining not only maintenance of trams but also the improvement along the railroad line of trams. The purpose of this study is to analyze rambling activities of visitor by tram behavioral characteristics of visitor by tram and spatial composition in central commercial district in Hiroshima city. Finally, it aims at clarifying the factor currently urged to rambling activities of visitor by tram. The local governments who are considering maintenance of trams can refer to this study when consider improvement policy for activation of downtown along the railroad line of trams.路面電車は、LRTとしてまちづくりと一体となって計画された欧米における成功例をうけ、わが国の地方公共団体でも中心市街地の活性化を目的とし、既存の路面電車のLRT化やLRTの新規導入を検討する事例が見られる。このような中心市街地の活性化を目的としたLRT整備の際には、LRT自体の整備にとどまらず、沿線地域の整備（以下、沿線整備）も併せて行うことが望ましいとされ、その具体的な指針が求められている。本研究は、今後の路面電車を活用して中心市街地の活性化を図る際、沿線整備方策を検討するうえでの有益な知見を得ることを目標とする。そこで、中心商店街とその周辺における路面電車利用者の回遊行動を、(1)路面電車利用者の行動特性と、(2)地区の空間構成の２点に着目して分析し、路面電車利用者の回遊行動を促している要因を明らかにすることを目的としている。
