Nondestructive Evaluation of Arc Weld Interface by Nonlinear Ultrasonic Imaging
非線形超音波によるアーク溶接ボンド部輪郭形状の非破壊画像化
A nondestructive evaluation method for delineating weld interface of arc weld in hot rolled steel sheet for automotive structure is developed by nonlinear ultrasonic imaging. The ultrasonic wave of 20MHz from the ultrasonic sensor sends the received signal, which is amplified through the high-pass filter of 40MHz, and the image is created from the data. With the nonlinear ultrasonic technique, the higher harmonic amplitudes at weld interface appear large. The estimated weld interface close to the contour line is obtained by the macro photographs. Thus, the destructive observation of the weld interface could be replaced by the nonlinear ultrasonic imaging.アーク溶接部の品質確認は,切断,腐食し,マクロ写真にてなされてきた.しかし,これを非破壊試験で品質評価できるようにするため,非線形超音波での非破壊試験の可能性と,パルス法の違いについて報告をする.
