SOME EXPLORATIONS INTO THE RESTORATION WORKS OF A RAILROAD EMBANKMENT FAILED DURING CONSTRUCTION FOR DOUBLE TRACKING
This paper deals with the soil mechanics problems encountered in the restoration works which were performed to mend the base failure of railroad embankment on a soft layer of peat due to overload of fills and Tokachioki Earthquake on 16 May, 1968.
