A Study of Relationship between RSSI and Decision Threshold in OFDM Communication
It is very difficult to determine the decision threshold in Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communication using Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) modulation, The information of the QAM modulated signal can be represented as phase and amplitude. In this paper, the authors study of relationship between received signal power and decision threshold value for receiving performance increase. But, the dynamic decision threshold is not suitable QAM demodulation because the equalizer works on the fixed decision threshold system. The equalizer operates to reduce output frame noise using feedback decision information that decides by fixed threshold value. The authors try to find optimum decision threshold value each modulation. The decision range rate are measured BPSK is 60%, QPSK is 100% and 16QAM is 200%.
