CLOSED LINKAGE COEFFICIENTS OF ADHESION OF THE WHEEL OF RAIL VEHICLE ROLLING UNDER SLIP ANGLE

KRAFTSCHLUSSBEANSPRUCHUNGEN AM SCHRAEGROLLENDEN SCHIENENFAHRZEUGRAD

Tests were carried out for simultaneous measurement of the longitudinal and lateral coefficient of adhesion as well as of the longitudinal slip occurring during service on a wheel rolling under slip angle. In this connection longitudinal slip values in the order of 0.02% could be covered. The influence of the slip angle, of the traveling speed and the wheel load on coefficient of adhesion between wheel and rail was investigated.
