Across the borderline
Automobiles with internet connectivity can now get access to traffic information across Western Europe. Information available includes multimodal travel data, weather forecasts, and parking availability. The data has become more accurate over time, and it is broadcast on a variety of different platforms, including digital radio and WiFi internet. It is possible to use the system to call emergency services. The service provided by the system is useful on the connected European roads. So far, the services have only reached a small selection of vehicles, though a variety of media packages are available for drivers to buy. There are some issues of connectivity that still need work, but the system is constantly improving.
